And I knew there was something else I wanted to share that I left out! On Wednesday, at Sunagawa, I enjoyed my after lunch break in the computer lab where I almost cussed out loud as one of the little buggers hid behind the desks and jumped out at me. He laughed.
Then my two favorite girls came in and caught me reading Matt's blog and I explained to them what he was doing in Hong Kong, how my parents met, the different food he'd posted, that I want to go to Thailand (which is apparently Tai in Japanese, and they still had no idea what it was), but we did a lot of talking and looking up of things. It was nice.
I'd like to mention that these two girls are 5th graders at Sunagawa, hands down my worst class. That day, in fact, I had to yell at them. We were playing catch ball and after the 5th time I was pelted with the ball I stopped. I put the ball down and said "I'm. Mad." (It's was last week's new vocabulary) I continued talking at them in English, trying to let the tone of my voice express my feelings before I switched to Japanese and asked them if they wanted to do boring drills. They said no. Then I asked if they wanted to play a game. They ALL said yes. After that it was the best I'd ever had them. They were angels. I blame their teacher for the lack of discipline.
So yeah, horrible class, great students. Individually. Really good after lunch time.
. . . my toes are cold . . .
