So I head to San-e to pick up some breakfast. San-e opens at nine. Okay.
So I head to the Family Mart, open 24/7 and I get an onigiri (rice ball), tuna mayo, same flavor I usually get and I really need to branch out and figure out what those other flavors say.
I get to work with the intentions of:
1) Asking Noriko-san for nenkyuu so that I can go to Thailand. She already said it should be okay, I just need to ask her for the specifics.
Noriko-san is not there. Okay.
2) Read through the rest of Lonely Planet Thailand to have an idea of the entire country and where I specifically want to go for those 9 days. Done. Just need to talk to Curi and Tiff and Dom and compare notes now.
3) Talk to Noriko-san about where I should go to see the doctor for my leg.
Again, Noriko-san wasn't there. Okaaaaay. I ended up spending the last 30 min of work emailing her on her cell. She gave me directions back.
4) Read Beka Cooper by Tamora Pierce. I'm borrowing this from Veronica and need to give it back to her when I see her next weekend. I'm on 495 of 563. At least I'm eating that one well.
So I head back to the Post Office after work at 12, get directions to the hospital that does bone work (right next to the Post Office, apparently. I really need to learn the kanji 郵便局, I mean, I asked the people at the Post Office what it was and they said Post Office. I felt silly. It was written on the wall. And the sign outside, and the window . . .) but yeah, I stopped at the bakery right down the street for lunch (cheeze poof, something with cream cheeze on top and a really nice cheeze and spicy ham roll) and walked in.
It was hilarious, trying to understand things like, "do you have metal implants?" and "are you pregnant?" But hilarity asside, I filled out my paperwork and then was told to come back at 3, because that's when the people I needed to see would be back from lunch.
So I go home, chat at Natalie for a second, tell Sam to have fun in Argentina, and talk to Leo about blissfully nothing for about an hour. I also requested that he bring me the internet anywhere device that he has (it's not a laptop, just internet, cheap and portable) which would be good for when I go to Thailand (the biggest things that lonely planet warns about are scams, stealing, and drugs are bad), because I'm not gonna bring my laptop and still want to talk to people.
He meantions that the newest PSPs have internet capability as well as are Skype supported. I told him to bring me one. I'll need to talk to Dad about the funds. Yes, I could buy one here, but then when I took it home it's warenty would be useless. I want a device that works long term.
Yay.
Then I go back to the doctor, apparently the people I was suppose to see were the x-ray peoples. Yay, more radiation. That makes, 3 or 4 times this year? (on a side note, apparently if a kid of elementary school age, I'd place him in 5th grade, breaks his arm, it's normal for him to go back into the x-ray room by himself while his dad waits outside.)
My bones are fine. They looked neat. I had apparently fubard my ligaments, just like Mom (not mine) and Dad (mine) thought.
So in America, when you fubar your ligaments, they wrap you up in an ace bandage and send you home with pills right?

At least it's just for a week. And I can't do any type of sports for 3, so no marathon for me. XP
