My hot physical therapist is moving back to Tokyo! He was only here for two weeks! My daydreams of bringing back a hot japanese boyfriend go with him! I guess I'll just have to be happy with the boyfriend I have who loves me enough to fly half way around the world just to see me for two weeks. *Sigh*
My ligaments = torn. And yes, that was plural. He says that I've torn two ligaments in my ankle, one on top and one of the side. Because they are still fubared, I cannot do exercise, I have to wear my ankle brace thingy, and I'm not suppose to point my toes (stupid me loving to sleep on my stomach). And I still have physical therapy until "it doesn't hurt anymore."
In other news, Taira Noriko, my supervisor = teh awesome. She went with me on Wednesday to visit Kagamihara, remember? And today she went with me to Sarahama, on a ferry, even though she hates ferries, even though she gets sea sick. She was okay (ish) on the ferry, but actually threw up when we got back to the port in Hirara. She rocks. She is so awesome.
And my new school looks very neat. Although they want me to teach a song to the kids about spring/America on my first day. DOES ANYONE KNOW AN EASY FOR NONNATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS SONG ABOUT SPRING OR AMERICA?!?!?!? Need ASAP.
Also, Sarahama gave me papayas. Not the fruit, the vegetable (who knew it existed?) and gave me gross instructions (gross meaning vague) on how to cook it. I'm trying to get people to cook it and try it with me. I don't want to venture it on my own.
On the way back we ran into Kei (who is always at work) who is quitting her job in about a month and just going to bum for a little while (go her) in order to focus on learning English and getting her diving license before trying to get a job (I think) in Hawaii. At the very least she's planning to go to Hawaii in July. Good for her.
I think my plan is to massively clean my house tomorrow and hopefully get as far as I can listening to Stephen King's Salem's Lot. It's freaking me out (pervading my dreams and whatnot) and I need to finish it. And I can't listen to it unless I'm doing something with my body (walking, which is muri right now, cleaning, cutting out lamination, crocheting (which I don't have my needle here), exercising, SOMETHING). So yeah, cleaning needs to happen anyway. I has goal. Maybe I can actually clean enough to feel somewhat comfortable with hosting another dinner party. I've been missing them lately.
