When things work out

So I went to pizza last night thinking "man, I want to SEE PEOPLE this weekend" thinking that I'll be the only person to actually show up again, read my book and go home. Imagine my surprise when I get there and Janine, Stu, Jason, Scott, Kirsty, and Sam have all beaten me there and Amy shows up shortly after. Then we went out :)

Then I get home, talk to Leo for a bit, reply to some posts and emails and crashed around 2 only to be woken up at 8:45 by Jonathan asking if we wanted to go out for breakfast. Which of course I did. After breakfast I drove to the airport, sorted out my tickets for golden week (Thailand and Niigata), then went to the All Shogakko Ekiden (all elementary school relay race) and cheered on my kids whom I love and cannot remember their names.

Then I went towards several places, because I wanted lunch, but I really wanted crepes and ended up going home with nothing only to munch on crap all afternoon before going out with Mike, Stu, and Jason for bowling. I averaged 100, which was my "At least" goal, so yay. I'm going to try to join the league when it comes around in a few weeks (it's 15 buck a week, but I'll get out of the house, see people, and practice my japanese and bowling tech. sounds worth it to me). I just need to get more consistent with my not throwing it in the gutter after a strike or a spare. Or period, but that's how these things go. I bowled very weakly today, mostly because of fubared ankle, some because I was trying to actually perfect my technique, when my technique of the past has been "Ball, please knock over pins." I worked on lining myself up better, not twisting, staying upright. Little things that matter.

Then I went out to tacos for dinner, and didn't find the tacos I was looking for, but found tacos, which was good. (The tortillas aren't tortillas, but it's almost real tacos). Then, walking out of tacos I was thinking, man, I really want something sweet, and look, basken robbins is Right Across the Street. And guess what Basken Robbins has right now. Crepes. Remember that thing I wanted for lunch? I win.

Oh, and I finally uploaded pics from my trip to Ishigaki. Enjoy.
