84 degrees, 79% humidity. 6:30pm.
Today's run actually felt good. The first 5 minute interval kinda hurt, but the second one felt fine, oddly enough. I mean, really really fine. I mean like I could have (really, with a good oomph) pushed myself to do another minute. Instead I didn't and did my now regular 20 minute walk, but still. I feel really good about how this week turned out and am really looking forward to next week (something I haven't said in the past 2 weeks or so). Even the 20 minute run at the end of next week day 3 doesn't look all that scary, when you put it into perspective. I mean, last week it looked like Jason from Friday the 13th, no matter how far or how fast you run, it'll catch up with you and kill you. Now it just looks like that troll from the first Lord of the Rings movie. A mythological enemy (not quite real), a pain in the keaster to kill, and it might throw me 20 feet into a wall, but killable with effort and a little luck. I like those odds a whole lot better. :)
Also, I found a video that's really informative on how to do a "proper push up" and guess what, I was doing it wrong. Ah, well, from tomorrow on . . .
