. . . and we're back.
Life got in the way this weekend.
I did w5d2 on Saturday before the giant concert, but because of giant concert being in the same area where I usually run, I did a different route. And ended up going up hill for most of it. I slowed waaaaaaaay down, but with how hard the first 8 minutes had been, let alone the second, I honestly didn't know if I was ready for week 5's 20 minutes or not. So I had a plan today. See how I was doing at 8 minutes, if I needed to, I'd do day 2 again, if I felt good, I'd keep going for the 20. I was suppose to do this run yesterday. But it was my birthday and I had plans that basically took up the entire day. So.
At 5 minutes I felt good. At 10 minutes I felt good. At 15 minutes I was dying, but that was more to do with doing my run out at the bridge and that being the first up hill more than the actual length of the run. I got to the end of the bridge and turned around at around 19 minutes. At 20 minutes I couldn't actually tell that it was 20 (I use an analog watch, which I prefer, but these longer runs are more difficult, as it's hard to see the exact minute), so I actually ran for 21 straight minutes. Let me say that again. I actually ran for 21 straight minutes. Woo. No, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
After running I took some time at the beach--I'm reading Wicked now, just started today. I found a coconut, just sitting there in the surf. It was kinda neat. Then I went home, showered and bowled.
This week was MUCH better than last week. How much better, you ask? I did my high game this week.
This week's scores: 124, 136, 163=423 This weeks avg. = 141
Last week's running avg: 117.25 Last week's session avg: 117.7
Running total: 1360 Running average (11 games): 123.6 Session average (4 sessions @ 123.5, 100.2, 129.6, and this week's 141): 123.6
Then I got home and talked to my parents for a bit. Cried for a bit. It was a good talk.
After I did my 100_pushups and 100_crunches.
I was suppose to do this day after taking Veronica and Kat to the airport on Sunday. But with my grandmother dying, I really didn't feel like it. Yesterday either, but that was my birthday, so it was just a whole lot of other didn't feel like it. But today we got back on the horse. And it felt good.
Version: modified push ups
Progress: w2d1c1
Progression: 4, 4, 3, 3, max 5
Today's Max: 9 (+4)
Today's Totals: 23
I'm really happy with that end number, especially since I went to the bowling league tonight. I didn't think I'd be able to do that many after throwing a ball around for an hour and a half. Although, I'm really glad that I did the push ups after bowling, not before.
Version: normal crunches
Progress: w2(4)d1c2
Progression: 22, 16, 16, 14, max 22
Today's Max: 22 (+0)
Today's Totals: 90
I'm kinda dissapointed that I couldn't do more than the max today. But then, I did run 20 minutes in couch_to_5k, participate in the local bowling league, and then did 100_pushups before doing the crunches, so I guess it's to be expected. At least I did them at all.
Here's to getting right back on the horse.
